Refurbished mid-1900s USSR Navy Clinometer. It is an instrument which indicates the angle of roll or pitch of a vessel. Made of molded "Bakelite", it has a 0 to 55 bronze scale, measures 8" x 11"x 2", and weighs 3 pounds. The face is signed "KM" and the back is signed "BEC1,1KT" "C?E?AHO B CCCP". Clinometers were usually permanently attached to the bulkhead in the pilothouse, however, this unit is mounted on a 10" x 13" x ¾" wood plank for display. The plank has hanging hardware and the original mounting screws are included. This nautical artifact is a nice piece of international maritime history.
